“Resumé” is a snap shot of the work of Ludlow curator, Sonny Day.

“Resumé” runs in conjunction with the exhibition “Shtick” at Orange Regional Gallery, in which Sonny has curated the current episode of “Different Takes”; a guest curator series featuring works from the Orange Regional Gallery’s extensive collection.

“Resumé” aims to show a selection of Sonny’s recent paintings and the works he has collaborated on as half of WBYK.

Recent solo exhibitions include “Mind Intern” at the Mondo Gallery, Austin Texas (2015), “Pink Fist” at Lamington Drive Gallery, Melbourne (2014) and “Sex Mission, Sex Metal Hands. Watch Out For The Cops” at Kind Of Gallery, Darlinghurst (2013). His solo work is generally pencil, ink or acrylic on paper, working in large formats. Themes in Sonny’s work revolve around sex, death, sport and fruit.

WBYK is the illustration, art and design team of Sonny Day & Biddy Maroney. Since 2006 they have been commissioned by publications including Time Magazine, Monocle, Business Week, Rolling Stone Australia, Wired USA and The New York Times, and have also illustrated and designed for clients and brands including Sydney Opera House, Adidas, Tourism Victoria, Qantas, MTV, St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival, and a long list of local and international bands. www.wbyk.com.au
